1st step:
In order to assure quality pastoral care for our children, teens and vulnerable adults, St. Ignatius and the Archdiocese of Baltimore require all parish volunteers to comply with the most current child protection training that is offered by the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Please note that all volunteers at St. Ignatius are considered “Substantial Contact w/children” and must take the full training including a background check/criminal history screening before volunteering.

stop by the office and pick up three copies.Beginning November 1, 2017, the Archdiocese of Baltimore began utilizing the VIRTUS system, along with over 90 other dioceses.
*Volunteers who are interested in serving at St. Ignatius who originally served (are serving) in another parish within the Archdiocese of Baltimore, having completed the Virtus Registration and Training requirements, must contact the Screening Coordinator of that parish to have St. Ignatius, Hickory (Forest Hill) added to their profile
AND the Screening Coordinator must provide a reference to St. Ignatius on your behalf noting that all references have been checked and on file at that location and that you are eligible to serve at antoher parish before service at St. Ignaitus is permitted.

2nd step:
After you have printed a copy of the VIRTUS REGISTRATION CHECKLIST and three copies of the reference form, please CLICK HERE for the Virtus Online system or above on the "Virtus" logo.
If you can't print the checklist, we have plenty of copies here at the parish that you are more than welcome to stop by and pick up.
