REGISTER HERE FOR FAITH FORMATION 2026-2027
FAMILY HOME MINISTRY (FHM) is an opportunity for parents and children to learn about their faith together in addition to their weekly participation at Mass. Parents are responsible for teaching lessons at home using the weekly Gospel messages and a doctrine based workbook. In addition, parents and children gather in large group gatherings 6 times a year at 6:30pm, usually in the Parish Hall, to dive deeper into a theme for the year. Additionally families will have a monthly Catholic Connection activity to turn in at the Faith Formation table during the Sunday Socials. FHM is available for Grades K-5.
Resources: Each family will receive various materials to support their at home learning and prayer life.
Parents' role: Parents are asked to work with their children to complete Gospel Weekly magazines. Families must submit monthly activities and Gospel Logs to the Faith Formation Office either electronically, through mail, or in-person at Family Home Ministry gatherings. Families with more than one child in the program can work together using the family lesson plans.
Each scheduled monthly gathering will offer two different evening dates to attend September-April on either the first Thursday of the month or the third Tuesday of the month as scheduled on our calendar of events. Each family may CHOOSE ONE of the dates to attend each month. Since we meet only seven times during the year, it is extremely important that families make it a priority to attend and complete their weekly materials along with attending Mass.
Important: For students preparing for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, an additional registration is required for preparation for these sacraments in addition to the Family Home Ministry or Sunday Family Faith Formation Classes, or be attending a Catholic school. (Documentation verifying their Catholic school enrollment will be required). -
